I can't recall a week when we haven't had bone broth in the fridge or freezer ready. We drink this in the morning with breakfast, in the evening to chill out, and use it for spontaneous soups with our pre-prepped veggies and proteins.
Bone broth has TONS of nutrients and minerals. It's almost like taking a multi-vitamin every day but it also has collagen and other nutrients that are critical in repairing a leaky or inflamed gut. Make this a staple in your diet with this easy recipe.

Pour the chicken carsass(es) and everything remaining in the roasting pan from the chickens into your crockpot or tall stewing pot.
Add all the remaining ingredients to the pot. (Do not cut, peel, or dice. Save time and throw them in whole, skins and all.) Fill the pot with filtered water. Leave about 1 inch from the top so the water has room to bubble and boil.
Cover the pot with a lid.
If using a crockpot, set the temperature to low and leave it cooking for 24 hours.
If using the tall stewing pot, turn your stove burner to the lowest heat possible and leave it cooking for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, turn off the heat.
Put your large metal kitchen bowl in the sink. Sit your colander on top of the bowl. Gently ladle or pour out the bone broth into the metal bowl letting the broth run through the colander. Do this until all the broth is out of your cooking pot.
Put the chicken bones and veggies into the garbage outside.
Ladle your finished broth into glass mason jars keeping 1-2 inches of space from the top. Store ½ the jars of bone broth in the freezer and the other half in your fridge for drinking and using in soups. Thaw jars as you are ready to consume them.
